Our Christmas Break

The month of December FLEW by for me. Obviously I have been busy...incase you didn't notice that I have not posted anything since Thanksgiving:) My parents came to visit from Georgia over Christmas. It was a lot of fun having them here! We also spent some time with Zach's family who were all in town as well. Since everyone was in town we decided to have Zach do Abby's baby blessing on Sunday, December 27th. He did an amazing job and it was a very special day. My mom was so nice and made Abby her own blessing dress and it turned out so pretty. I tried to take some close shots so you can see the detail.

Not sure who messed with the blocks on my mantle that day.....but that should say "believe" in the background incase you are confused:)

No holiday is complete without family rockband sessions. Andrew is obsessed with playing the drums (or dums as he calls them), guitar and singing at the top of his lungs into the microphone.

One night we went with my family and the Hillstead side to temple square to see the Christmas lights. They are so pretty!

I sometimes try to pretend that I am a professional photographer. HA! But seriously, pretty picture eh?

Abby girl all bundled up like a bear!

Andrew went sledding for the first time with Dada and Poppa this break. He loved it!

Our Christmas Tree 2009

My somewhat festive mantle.

One of my favorite parts of Christmas....all the Christmas cards!

And a short update: Miss Abby is now ten weeks old! When we went to her two month appointment last week she weighed in at 12 lbs and is 21 inches long....both of which put her at the 75th percentile. That's my girl! She's filling out quick!

T.H.A.N.K.S.G.I.V.I.N.G.

This will be a short post, because if you have not noticed I don't blog much these days because I have no time! Crazy how two kids will do that to you:) Anyways, this year for Thanksgiving we went down to Las Vegas with Zach's parents, and his brother Blake and his wife Ali and baby Paige. We stayed at Zach's parents time share down there which was a lot of fun. It was nice to be off the strip but close enough if we wanted to go. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at the Bellagio buffet which was a treat! We also did lots of shopping and saw the movie The Blind Side...which I am officially obsessed with and HIGHLY recommend! Anyways, here are some quick pics!

Miss Abby is One Month old!!

Well, tomorrow she will actually be five weeks old so I am a little late in posting this. The time has gone by fast! We took Abby to church yesterday for the first time. I figure if we can all survive with Zach having the swine flu in our house, then we are probably okay going to church:) It was so fun to put her in a little dress! She is really starting to fill out, and starting to coo a little bit. I love having a little girl:)

Pirates Cove

First off let me just say that trying to find time for blogging with two kids is a little tricky for me! That is why I have been a little MIA. I apologize. I am trying to be better:) Last weekend we went with a bunch of friends from Zach's work to a place in Las Vegas called Pirate's Cove. This place was incredible. I don't know all the "stats" on it, but basically it is a 30 million dollar private property with three houses, a few pools, water slides, I think 20 bedrooms and bathrooms, like 3-4 kitchens, etc. The guy that owns it hired people from Disney and make it a complete Pirates theme...it was unreal. Even the cast of the Pirates of the Carribbean went and stayed there. It was a treat:) Andrew was loving the pools and water slides. On a sader note...Andrew was running in a fabric store the day and tripped and slammed his cheek onto the corner of a metal chair. It was so sad. I had to take pictures of his shiner. His whole cheek is swollen and black and blue. He wasn't liking that I was taking his picture though, so hopefully you can see it.

Life with us is good though...but very busy! I am learning the ropes of balancing two kids. It really hasn't been too bad. I think I am starting to get the hang of it:) Miss Abby is so sweet and so cute. She is starting to coo a little bit and I love it!
