just some fun pics

Lately Andrew has started playing a new game with us. Basically it goes like this: I open my mouth as big as I can and look at him and he does it back and then laughs like it is the funniest thing he has ever seen.

I am loving this nice weather. I took Andrew to the park the other day and he was in heaven. I just followed him around with a camera. Here are my two favs. He is so stinkin cute.

My Top 40

My friend Ashley did this on her blog and I thought it was so fun to read. So...not sure if I am as interesting as her, but I am bored so I am going to do this!

1. I have always hoped I have chubby babies. I love to squeeze them. Andrew definitely fulfilled those hopes for me!

2. I am completely addicted to Thai food. I could eat it everyday.

3. I love to sleep! Maybe this is because I don't get as much as I used to...but every minute is precious these days!

4. I think I have turned into a bit of a homebody. I like to get out and do things, but I REALLY love days when I am just home with nowhere to go.

5. I have issues with second guessing myself. Especially on decorating, or choosing an outfit. I seem to always need another opinion to confirm that it really does look good and I'm not just an idiot!

6. I never liked to read growing up because I was always forced to read something for school, but now I am really enjoying reading. Currently I am reading A Thousand Splendid Suns. Love it so far.

7. I unfortunately have a bit of a temper. Good thing I married Zach and he helps me to learn to COOL IT.

8. I loved my mission in the Czech Republic and think about it almost everyday. I dream about it a lot too. I wish I could do it again!

9. I LOVE to cook and try lots of new recipes. I have a slight addiction to buying cookbooks. Zach always thinks it's funny because I've probably made two recipes out of each book, so he is a little confused why I keep buying more.

10. I am not a pet person. We had a cat growing up, and I do love her, but I REALLY hope my kids never beg me for one. If they do, they are getting a fish.

11. I want to go back to school someday. I am not even sure what for, but after graduating I have realized how much I do really love to learn and miss it sometimes.

12. I have always had this weird obsession with starting my own business. I am always thinking of some silly idea to do, even though I really have NO time for it. I think it all started with my business in 6th grade...."the Babysitter Team"....not to be confused with the Babysitter Club. We dominated our neighborhood:)

13. I love cheese. All kinds of cheese. I love to try new ones too. Not good for you, but SO YUMMY.

14. I love to ski. I'm not a pro by any means, but there is something about it to me that is so liberating. I wish I could go more often.

15. Unfortunately I am not a super affectionate person. Again....good thing I married Zach. He has taught me to be much more affectionate and loving.

16. I love to sing. I sing EVERYTIME I am in the car. But you will probably never hear me sing because I have issues with doing it in front of people.

17. I love way too many tv shows. After a day of running around with Andrew, I love to plop myself on the couch and watch mindless shows. I know it is lame, but I NEED it sometimes!

18. I love my husband's job. Some people think we are crazy that we are in this job that requires so much travel and time, but for some reason I feel a part of it and I think it is fun (most of the time!). I think I will be sad when the day comes that he is done.....if that ever happens!

19. I think I am an all seasons kind of person. While I love the beach and hot sun, I also really love being in the mountains with snow in a cabin.

20. I want to travel Europe. I never left the Czech Republic both times I have been there. Someday I hope to go there with Zach.

21. I love mangos. I never get sick of them. I am craving one right now!

22. I have had a job every year of my life since I was 16 until I had Andrew. I like to work. My past jobs included: waitress, cashier at a grocery store (so ghetto), working at a takeout counter at a restaurant, assistant and receptionist of a hair salon, research assistant, secretary, tanning salon ( i know, i know), hostess at sundance, mtc teacher, and an office assistant.

23. I think my parents have THE LIFE and I hope we end up like them one day!

24. I am a bit of a control freak. I hated group projects in school. I would much rather do everything myself.

25. I love to give presents. I don't think I am very good at picking them out sometimes, but I love to have a reason to buy one.

26. I love fruit snacks, but only a specific kind. Sunbelt Fruit Jammers...they are the best. I seriously could eat a whole box in one sitting.

27. I think I secretly love to be wined and dined if you know what I mean. I love going to fancy restaurants and eating expensive food. I know that is shallow, but it's fun sometimes!

28. I am sad how fast Andrew is growing up. I love this stage and wish he could stay like this forever.

29. I am severely competitive at games, sports, etc. I love to win, not sure why, but I do.

30. I love girl time. I always had a lot of girl friends growing up, and in college, and sometimes it is just so fun to hang out with a group of girls!

31. I want to be crafty. I really enjoy that kind of stuff. It's just hard to find time right now!

32. I have a pet peeve with people being late or unreliable. Not saying I am perfect AT ALL, but it just bugs me sometimes!

33. I wish my hair could look like Jennifer Aniston's.

34. I like busy work. I know...so weird. I love to pay bills, go through mail, and organize things.

35. I genuinely like living in Utah. I know a lot of people here, who aren't originally from here, wish they could live back east or something, but I've been there, done that, and I love Utah!

36. I think Tatianna on American Idol is freaking CRAZY. I almost wish she was still on just so I could watch how weird she is.

37. I always secretly wanted to be in the CIA or something. I love Jack Bauer.

38. I hope that I have five kids. If they could all be like Andrew I would have 20. Just kidding. But he is so great. I love being a mom.

39. I think I hold onto things from the past too much. I am a very nostalgic person. I don't really love change too much, but I can handle it when it happens.

40. I have loved rap music my whole life. Everytime someone finds that out they are shocked. I really don't listen to it much anymore, but for some reason growing up I knew the words to like every rap song and pretty much thought I was a rapper. I know, not the best music to listen to, but those beats just make me HAPPY!

Well.....hopefully that didn't bore you to death. You should do it too so I can read random things about you! I tag you all!

Where have I been you ask?? Let me tell you...

Well as promised, I am finally catching up! I will admit that I kind of find myself dreading to blog lately, but I hate that I am so not up-to-date at the same time. I think I am just in a phase of life where I can think of a MILLION other things I should be doing before I blog. So that is why I have been a little out of touch. Anyways...here is what we have been up to:

Happy Valentine's Day! This year Zach and I kept it pretty low-key. We went up to the Gateway mall and did some shopping and then ate at a restaurant called Thaifoon. I chose the restaurant because I have always wanted to try it (incase you don't know I am ADDICTED to Thai food). Well, it was still good, but I was a little disappointed. It was kind of like PF Chang's but not as good. We'll stick to the more authentic places next time...but we still had so much fun! I love a night with my hubby:)

Two weeks ago we went to Big Sky, Montana with my family to go skiing. This has become a tradition in the past five years or so. We LOVE to ski there. The resort is HUGE. In three days I still never skiied every run. There are hardly any lines to get on the lift and it is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I had a bad crash the last day. I believe in helmets now BIG TIME. If you don't wear one you SHOULD! I am fine though:) We dressed Andrew up in his snow clothes one day and took him on the sled. Grandma pulled him and he loved it. Here is some footage:

Drew and Grandma

Right before we went to Big Sky I took Andrew for another DREADED haircut. He did suprisingly better this time. Still a few tears, but not anything like the last time. These pictures are kind of backwards in order...sorry. Here is the finished product:

The clippers kind of tickled him...so funny!

The nice lady let him touch the clippers and feel them vibrate before she started using them...he thought it was pretty funny.

um HELLO do you THINK he needs a hair cut? Wow, I never realize how long it is until after I cut it. This picture is HILARIOUS to me.

Playing on the slide while we wait for our turn. Drew LOVES balloons.

Shopping at Costco with my little buddy.

Lunch with Lezlie and Lauren to celebrate Lauren's birthday. Oh how I love the Cheesecake Factory! I love my friends!

Andrew has been playing with some of his friends! Here he is with Lily. We love Lily!

One day we were able to go up to Salt Lake and meet up with my good friend from college...Jen Jackson. Mary Jane (her little girl on the right) was born the exact same day as Andrew. They finally were able to meet!

And this is my cute little plant that I grew in my kitchen all winter. It died a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I never took a picture of it when the flowers bloomed! But it was fun for me to watch grow!

THE END!!

Picture Tag

My friend Layla tagged me in a "picture tag" on her blog. Basically what you do is go to the fourth album in your pictures on your computer, and choose the fourth picture (I think....hopefully I did this right!) Anyways...here we are this past summer at the Montgomery County Fair in Maryland. P.S. We are very glad Katie does not have nasty mousy dark hair anymore!!! I tag: Jenna, Rachel, Tara and Ali.

I saw this clever new appliance on Tangled and True...one of my favorite blogs. It is from Williams & Sonoma. I am totally getting one of these with my next baby! Just thought I would post it for all you preggies and momma's with little babies. That makes ME want to eat baby food!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

Well, let me first say that I am well aware of how pathetic my blog has been lately. So sorry. I have no excuse...pretty much I have just been lazy with the blog. This past weekend we went to Big Sky, Montana to go skiing with my family. We go every year and I always look forward to it. The skiing was "epic" (as Zach would say). Great snow, sunny skies, LOVE it. My mom was great and played with Andrew in the condo everyday so I could ski. He LOVED spending time with his Grandma and Papa. I have more pictures to come...but until then here is little Andrew just kickin' back in the condo. I'll be back tomorrow!
