I have to write this down before I forget. Andrew was just being a good listener, which we are MAJORLY working on right now. I said "Andrew you are being such a good example!" He replied yelling "I am am being a good example! That means I am turning into a missionary!!" I love it! Then as I am typing this I hear him saying to his friend Easton "Easton did you know that Heavenly Father has the gospel? And did you know that Jesus has super powers? He can fight all the bad guys!!" I am glad he is learning something these days:)

Great Falls Park
Right before we went home we decided to try and do a few more things that we hadn't done in the past years being in the D.C. area. We decided one Sunday to go to Great Falls park in Maryland. You would never think waterfalls and rapids like this existed in Maryland! It was so beautiful and Andrew and Abby LOVED being able to just run around and climb the rocks.

Quote of the Day from Andrew and Abby
I am always kicking myself for not writing down what these kids say more, because they are pretty hilarious. So here are today's quotes:
Andrew just started using a booster carseat, so I was getting ready to buckle his seat belt and he grabbed the other side for me so I could stick it in.
Me: Thanks Andrew that is so nice of you!
Andrew: It's just a helping hand mom (with a cheesy smile).
Ha! What!?!?! Where does he come up with these things??
Abby wouldn't take a nap today...she just played in her bed for almost two hours. While she was in there, with her five stuffed animals, I hear this in a very stern voice:
"No no no! Right now! You stop! 1.....2.....3! Right now!"
I guess she was disciplining her animals....and so depressing that this is probably what I sound like all day long.
Bibby and Poppa Visit D.C.
Lucky for us we were actually on the same side of the country as my parents this summer. They took advantage and made the trip up to see us one weekend. We went to the National History Museum and the Air and Space Museum. We didn't have tons of time, but had a lot of fun with them while they were there!
National Zoo
One day this summer I thought I would venture to the National Zoo in D.C. alone with the kids. It was kind of a bust because when I got there they had already put half the animals away (all the big ones that you want to see) because it was late Friday night and the zoo keepers had gone home early. But we still saw some good stuff and Andrew and Abby loved it. What I DIDN'T KNOW before I went is that the zoo is seriously on a freaking mountain. So, keep in mind for some reason I thought it wouldn't matter that we were having a MAJOR heat wave that week, by the end of the trip I was pushing Abby in the stroller and carrying my 40 lbs. Andrew on my hip walking straight up hill for a good 15 minutes. I was dripping sweat. I think people thought I was crazy. We still had a great time though! Best part of course was our lemonade and cotton candy break:)

Ruby Jane Taylor
I am pretty sure no one really reads this blog anymore....but I wanted to post this just incase someone happens to look and want to help:) One of my sister's best friends from college, Ani Taylor, just lost her little baby last night awaiting a liver transplant. It is a pretty heartbreaking story, and has definitely changed my life watching their strength and faith. I am sure their family is in a lot of pain right now, and many are trying to help as much as they can to hopefully lift their spirits at least a little. If you would like to help please read her story here and if you would like to donate, or purchase something through many of the charities that are donating go here. Thank you for thinking of them and please continue to pray for their family.
