I almost vomited before I even took a bite...which by the way I never did. This picture does not even do it justice. I have never seen a cheeseburger that thick in my life and it looked so fatty and nasty. Zach just looked at it and acted like he was going to cry because he was so hungry but not about to eat what we had just ordered. He took one bite and was done with that. Nasty!
The next day we headed into Times Square to go have lunch and walk around before the show. I about cut the top of my middle finger off on the way....long story...but here are some pics of my finger and us waiting in the subway.
We decided to eat lunch at a place called Carnegie Deli (recommended by our friend Ty Singer). It was soooo good! As we were walking through the restaurant to our seats I was noticing how huge everyone's sandwiches were. I thought maybe they just ordered the big ones or something...NOPE! They are all huge! We ordered BLTs...check out the pile of bacon on our sandwiches! And they gave us some funky pickles too.
But apparently the sandwiches are not only big but so is the cheesecake...which is divine I might add!
Then on to Times Square....quite possibly the hottest day in the history of NYC..I almost died.
And then off to WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was honestly the best show I have ever seen. I was practically crying by the end because it was so amazing.
After Wicked we went to SOHO and found a cute and delicious Italian restaurant to eat dinner at. For some lame reason we didn't take any pictures when we were there. But it was so yummy. After that we took the subway back to our hotel, got our car, and headed home to our little bambino! Thanks Jake and Jenna for watching little Drew so we could have a fun weekend!

That is so much fun!! What a great idea! Our anniversary is in August and I have had zero hope that anything would happen but now I do hopefully I can think of something!!
P.S. when I first saw that cheeseburger I almost threw up haha poor Zach!!
Katie, you look hot. I kid you not. You are skinny! AND I think you should keep your hair the blond color that it is. At least for the summer...
sorry - I am leaving so many comments...but Ive been out of town, and you had has some fun posts....Carnegie Deli was my dad's favorite when he used to travel to NY for work. I'm glad you two had such a fun weekend. Happy Anniversary!
SO JEALOUS....What an awesome anniversary!!! How fun to live so close to NYC.
PS that video of Drew and Jenna is hilarous! Is that kid serious. So cute.
Come back to Utah already
That weekend sounds so cool. Good for you, pulling the surprise off... I hope you guys are having fun with Ali and Blake, I know they were so excited to go see you. Talk to you soon! Anne
Yay for Wicked!!! We saw it in LA at Christmas and LOVED it too! One can often find Grant singing "Popular" in a terrible voice. :-)
I LOVE NYC...so I am very jeleous:) Scott & I took off to Park City last weekend to celebrate his birthday. It was our first night away from Owen, but had to come home (after checking in to the hotel mind you--no refund), because Owen got sick for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE! That's annoying:)
