A few weeks ago I took the kids and drove up to NYC (which is only a three hour drive from where we are, how great is that??) to stay with Zach while he was up there working for a week. It was lots of fun, and lots of work, I can't lie. NYC with kids about put me over the edge, but we still had lots of fun! We were able to do some stuff with Zach a couple mornings and then we stayed there on Sunday so we could have the whole day. Andrew made a new friend named Daxton while we were there. He is the son of one of the guys working in that office. I love that Andrew is old enough now to really understand having a friend and wanting to play with other kids. It is so cute! I took him to a little festival in Queens with Daxton and his mom Victoria. There were bouncy houses (the main reason we went:)) and they were in heaven. Oh and I don't know if you can tell--but if you are wondering why there is a bandaid over Andrew's top lip let me tell you. I am laughing as I write this because he looked completely RIDICULOUS with that bandaid on, but I didn't know what else to do. That morning in the hotel I was sitting on the bed feeding Abby and Andrew was "playing" (or so I thought) in the bathroom. All of a suddent he came out and was seriously covered in blood. It freaked me out to say the least, but I soon realized that he had found Zach's razor and was pretending to shave like daddy. Amazing how much blood can come from a milimeter sized cut on your lip. It wouldn't stop. So I had to put a bandaid on it, and it basically looked I taped my kids mouth shut. I'll have to post a pic of that from my phone later, because it was pretty funny. Anyways...

On Sunday we did some stuff in the city. We took Andrew to FAO Schwarz for a few minutes and across from that was a little burger joint, can't remember the name of it, but it was pretty good!

Cute lil' mini burgers!

So sweet:)

Doing Andrew's "eyes"

Switch-Andrew's turn!

Right outside of FAO Schwarz they were filming the new upcoming Smurfs movie. It was seriously so cool to see them filming. It made me want to be an actress! The girl in the yellow sweater is from Glee....I forget her name but she is the counselor. My friend Layla and I were able to meet her and get her autograph. She was really nice!

We went and at at Cafe Lalo--it was in the movie You've Got Mail if you remember?? Eh, I think that was the movie, I am forgetting now, but I am thinking Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks:) Anyways, it was delish!

Another morning we took Andrew to the Manhattan Children's Museum. It was lots of fun, but I am not going to lie--he loved it but I was a little disappointed. The one in Seattle last summer was WAY better.
