We are still getting everything ready for the baby to come. Andrew is all set up in his new room now. He sleeps in his big boy bed at night like a champ and is now (thank the heavens) taking long naps in it everyday as well. I feel pretty lucky that he was so easy to train on that. I was so nervous to start the transition, but it has not been bad at all. The baby room is pretty much done. I still need to buy a lamp and find a rocking chair....that's why I haven't posted a picture yet. It looks a little empty to me still without those things in it, but hopefully I will get that done soon.
Yesterday we thought that it was go time....but it was a false alarm. I hate that! I couldn't sleep the whole night, then I finally fell asleep and woke up around 4ish with contractions. They weren't super bad or anything, but I felt like they were getting progressively worse, so around 6 we went to the hospital. I was right in the sense that I was contracting, but they were too mild and I wasn't dialating so they sent me home. Bummer. I feel like I don't know what to look for because with Andrew my water broke. I think that is the best way to go because there is no question whether or not you go to the hospital when that happens! Oh well....maybe my water will break again. We'll see. My due date is the 22nd....so six more days. I'll be amazed if I make it that long, but who knows.
I have to thank everyone who came/threw me baby showers in the past couple weeks. I had three showers much to my suprise! My sisters and friend Liz threw me one, friends from Zach's work, and then a Hillstead family shower thrown by my mother-in-law Shauna. They were all SO MUCH FUN. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures! I am so lame. But other people did, and hopefully I will get those copies soon.
Anyways, enough rambling. Here are some random pictures from the past couple weeks. Hopefully next time I post there will be pictures of our new baby!
Here is Andrew loving the back seat as we drive the Alpine Loop.
The prettiest rainbow I have ever seen in Provo one day. I couldn't get the whole thing in my screen but you could see from end to end.
Andrew is addicted to ketchup. He always says "I want dip!"...which means he wants to dip EVERYTHING in ketchup.
Andrew's little friend Lily Lefrandt had her 2 Year birthday party. This was Andrew's first party to go to and I think he had a lot of fun.....even though it was mostly girls! They had a pinata which he of course LOVED (the kid is in heaven if he can whack something). I realized at that party that a whole new world is about to open before me with a girl! The theme of her party was "Fancy Nancy", which was so cute, but I seriously have never heard of it before. Since then I have realized Fancy Nancy is a pretty big deal, and now baby has a Fancy Nancy book of her own!
I think this picture is hilarious. Andrew found a little hat that our friend Jessie Reimer crocheted for him when he was born. OBVIOUSLY it does not fit anymore but he insisted on wearing it around the house. My little jew:)
