PROBLEM
Today I put Andrew down for his nap. We tried the bed and didn't work again so I settled for the port-o-crib again. About 15 min after I put him in there I heard a huge thud. Crap. I went in there and he was wandering around his room holding his head. He looked at me and said "Mommy...owie...head." He know cannot be contained in the port-o-crib either. Somebody help me!

i always bought those plastic doorknob covers so they can't get out of their room. sounds mean but really they get used to it and before long they get the idea. or if you can't do that a baby gate in the door way works. first couple nights are hard and he may even fall asleep on the floor. but eventually he will get the idea.
my friend swears by the "tent" you put over the crib to keep them in. she found her's on ebay and said it has saved her life since her new baby was born bc it guarantees her toddler is completely confined. this also means you'd have to revert back a crib for andrew. not sure if you're that desperate. maybe they can fit the pack & play. good luck!:)
just make everyday at nap time the new quiet time and turn on a movie and tell him he cannot get off the couch. my girls fall asleep before the movie even begins playing.
Aaahhh!! I am going through the same thing with Mary Jane and her "big girl bed" at nap time RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE!! I have locked myself in my room, turned up HGTV and even turned on the dryer, but I can still hear her down the hall pounding on her door, shaking the knob and yelling, "Mommy!!!"
This is day 2 of "No Nap Time" for me... I hear you, girl...
Ohh! Poor little guy! Poor YOU too! Good Luck & let me know if you find the "secret" so that you can share it with me someday! HaHa! ;) Love ya!!
