Update

I have been BUSY BUSY the past couple weeks. But busy is good when you are sitting around waiting to be done being pregnant!! Our baby is due two weeks from tomorrow I can hardly believe it! I feel like I have been pregnant for forever, but now that it is so close it's kind of crazy. Last night Zach and I worked out finishing putting together the baby's room and Andrew's new room. We got a lot done but I am not quite ready to put up pictures yet. Give me a few more days:) But I will say that it is turning out great and I love them both!!

Andrew has officially slept in his big boy bed for three nights straight now. He got up once the first night, slept through the second night, and got up once last night. Not too bad, eh? Here is the trick though....what the heck do I do for nap time??? I laid in his bed with him and sang him songs for probably thirty minutes today. He was very quiet at first, but then he thought it was time to play again. So I decided to go get our port-o-crib and put it up in his new room and have him nap in that. I am desperate. Any ideas you experienced ones????? I refuse to give up nap times. They are my saving grace!

Anyways, that is what we have been up to. Zach is busy with school and work and is doing really well in both. I am really proud of how focused he is!

I will try and posts some pictures soon!

maybe if you fell asleep he'd get the hint ;) i don't know how you don't, i don't think i'd have the strength to lay in bed and not fall asleep! I can't believe you only have two weeks left! take care

If he'll sleep in the port-a-crib, then just stick with that. I don't see anything wrong with it. Damon had a big adjustment with a bed - but he had learned to climb out of his crib, so we didnt' really have a choice. I spent WAY too many nights sitting on the floor next to him until he fell asleep. talk about bad parenting. it sounds like Andrew is doing well with it! nice job!

You might get yourself the book "Super Nanny" (Barnes and Noble). I used a lot of her techniques when the kids were that age. She's hardcore, but gets good results - and sleep is going to be HUGE for you with the new little one. Good luck! I feel for you!

Oh, and Ashley was SUCH a get out of bed kid that finally we had to switch the handle around on her door (or use a hook and key lock) to lock her in from the outside. That gave her the message that she was supposed to stay in her room, could read books or whatever, but couldn't come out during naptime or at bedtime. We often found her asleep on the floor by the door - but that's fine! I got my peace and she got her zzzs. :)

How was the shower?!
